Drums Of Peace
BridgeWalker / Jeff Cozy & Boyd Ray Sibley
This album is a collaboration with my old friend Boyd Ray Sibley. My wife and I were at Chichén Itzá a week before spring and met some musicians that asked me to drum with them. We were leaving the next day but they said I could be there in spirit to celebrate with them on the equinox. So on the spring equinox I set all my drums in a circle at my studio and tuned into the group of drummers at Chichén Itzá that were drumming as the sun climbed the pyramid. I drummed for over an hour recording everything I did. On summer solstice I flew to Sedona and met with Boyd at his home studio and we spent the weekend adding instruments and a spontaneous Peace Prayer. It was a magical time connecting with him and the energies of this spiritual place. At the autumn equinox Boyd had put the finishing touches on the mix. I was driving back from a business trip and was wondering how we could fund the CD. As I was listening to the mix I asked for a sign and an Eagle flew down right in front of me. I took that as a big YES ! When I got home I got to work on the artwork and in November we placed the order. Before Christmas isn't the best time to order CDs but we did it. The CDs showed up at my door on Winter Solstice. A very magical project came to completion after manifesting at the four sacred seasonal changes of the year. I hope you enjoy coming with us on this musical journey.
